Who am I?
​
I am a psychiatric mental health advanced practice nurse practitioner located in Colorado Springs, CO that has been a medical provider in the field of mental health for over two decades. My passion lies in assisting our youth with mental health, academic, relational, and occupational challenges.
​
Specialty is in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of mental and behavioral health conditions in children, adolescents, and young adults. Areas of expertise include ADHD, learning disorders, anxiety, anger, behavioral issues, depression, bipolar, self-harm, trauma, eating disorders, and autism. I assist others struggling during life transitions such as entering school, starting high school or college, relocation, starting new occupations, blending families, and divorce.

Services include psychiatric evaluations that may include lab work or other diagnostic tests, medication management, and solution focused therapies. I strongly believe in utilizing various diagnostic and treatment modalities to promote improved mental and physical health and to empower individuals and families with the necessary tools.
​
Experience matters. I have extensive experience as a psychiatric provider for youth including inpatient care at Children's Medical Center in Dallas, private practice in Texas, and outpatient care at Suncoast Community Mental Health Center in Florida. The last years have been spent solely working with high complexity young clients and families.

Recently, I moved to the Springs to be closer to my two adult children and founded Snow Insight Mental Health PLLC. I am an introvert who requires her alone time, science fiction, and beach lover. Free time is spent with family and friends, as an avid reader, beginning hiker, and with my beloved elderly Golden Retriever Roxy.
